SharpSpring is a full-featured sales and marketing automation platform serving agencies and SMBs. As VP of Experience Design, responsibility spanned the entire experience surface: brand strategy, website, product UI, content marketing, email, paid social, and the SharpSpring Social product launch — end-to-end creative ownership rare at any company.
Brand & website redesign
Strategy: reuse existing content as raw material and apply a new design system on top — rather than rebuilding from scratch. WordPress with a modular component library allowed the redesign to move fast. BugHerd enabled crowd-sourced QA, compressing the testing phase dramatically. Result: measurable conversion lift, a new look-and-feel governing all go-forward marketing, and a CMS the whole team could use without design or dev help.
"Lead customer- and growth-driven design throughout the product lifecycle, including awareness, consideration, conversion, onboarding, adoption, renewal, expansion, and loyalty."
Content marketing engine
Built a full content marketing system from scratch: the SharpSpring "Go to Guide" series (dynamic content personalization, landing page optimization, marketing automation terminology), webinar programs, agency-focused resource hubs, and social proof campaigns. All creative designed in-house.
SharpSpring Social — product launch
Led brand, marketing, and UX for SharpSpring Social — a new social media management module integrated into the marketing automation platform. Product UI included social feed manager, content calendar, listen/automate/track/measure workflow, and analytics dashboard.
Product UI — marketing automation platform
Beyond the marketing surface, the team owned the product UI itself — the SharpSpring application used daily by thousands of agency and SMB customers. This included the social feed manager (publishing to Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter), a content calendar for scheduling and visualizing campaigns, a visual workflow builder for marketing automation sequences, an email template builder, the CRM task management interface, contact activity feeds, a lead qualification dashboard with funnel metrics, and a meeting booking tool with calendar integration. The design system developed for the website was extended into the product, creating visual coherence between the marketing experience and the product experience for the first time.
